The International Monetary Fund warns the global recession will hit deeper and last longer than previously thought, while touching almost every country on Earth.

It predicts the U.S. economy will shrink 2.8 percent this year and will not see any growth in 2010. The key is to listen when someone offers a suggestion. When a client starts talking, don't try to defend yourself or justify your actions, just listen to what he or she has to say. Just because you've been doing something for years doesn't mean you can't or don't need to improve. Oftentimes, people get satisfied at just being good at what they do. You may think that if you want to take your sales career to the next level of success, you just need to work harder. In reality, you need to work smarter. Start by asking your clients what you can do to improve. Then use their suggestions to set goals for yourself and track your progress. Know your success story and ensure that you communicate it effectively to your clients and prospects by recording yourself in a meeting.
In fact, a great chasm exists between good and great performance. Realize, however, that this doesn't mean you have to work harder. Rather, you need the discipline to execute the little things in an extraordinary way every day. Consider U2 front man Bono's example of taking something good and making it great. If you are experiencing any lack in your life, in area it is because you are deficient of this one powerful attraction tool. 2. Start a Gratitude Journal.
o Write about what you are thankful for that is present in your life now. Don't hold back - be thankful for every little thing until you can feel the gratitude rising within you.
o Write about what you are thankful for in the midst of the current reality of lack. If you are in need of finances - discover areas where provision is plenty. For example,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "I am so grateful that we have a roof over our head, and I am gratefully anticipating money to pay the utility bills and buy groceries."
o Describe in writing a scenario in your future where you experience your hearts desire and are grateful.
3. Share your gratitude with others.

• Do you spend time thinking and planning how to avoid the creditors when they call?
• Do you imagine what your course of action will be when you are evicted from your home?
• Do you reherse the explanations you will give to your spouse, your children, your friends when you've lost everything?
This is a fearful place to be. These thoughts lower your vibration and feed the fear that grows inside you. Napoleon Hill describes what happens to the human soul in the presence of fear in his book, Think and Grow Rich,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],
Fear paralyzes the faculty of reason, destroys the faculty of imagination, kills off self-reliance, undermines enthusiasm, discourages initiative, leads to uncertainty of purpose, encourages procrastination, wipes out enthusiasm and makes self-control an impossibility.
